Melben is recruiting a Tool and Die Maker for a manufacturer in Willoughby, Ohio. This is a direct-hire, full-time position on the employer's payroll, with one opening and a first-shift schedule. The start date is flexible.
The work centers on hands-on die rework. You will repair and modify existing dies, correcting wear, adjusting forming surfaces and getting tooling back into production. CNC machining skills support the job, and the work calls for careful measurement and clean finishing.
Pay is $30 to $40 per hour, depending on experience. Candidates with a track record building or repairing dies or molds as a tool and die maker, die maker, toolmaker, mold maker or die repair man are the strongest fit.
Responsibilities
- Repair and modify existing dies
- Rework die surfaces to restore fit and function
- Measure and verify tooling to print and spec
- Machine and finish die components on CNC equipment
- Troubleshoot die problems on the floor and get them back running
Requirements
- Dated experience building or repairing dies or molds as a tool and die maker, die maker, toolmaker, mold maker or die repair man
- Hands-on die rework experience
- Able to work first shift
