These terms govern your use of melben.io. Melben ("we," "us") operates this site. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

This site is where you learn what we do, browse open roles, apply for work, and ask us to fill a role. It is informational. Using it does not create an employment relationship, a recruitment agreement, or any obligation on either side.

You will never pay us anything. Not to apply, not to be submitted, not to be placed. Our fee is always paid by the employer. If anyone asks you to pay a fee, buy equipment, or send money to work with Melben, it is not us. It is a scam. Report it to Melih@melben.io.

We do not guarantee you a job. We will work to place you. The hiring decision belongs to the employer.

Tell us the truth. Your work history and your certifications must be accurate. We verify certifications against documented proof. If you misrepresent your credentials or experience, we will stop working with you. In this industry a false credential is not a paperwork problem, it is a safety problem.

When we place you, your employment relationship depends on the placement type. For direct-hire placements, you go onto the employer's payroll from day one and work for the employer, not for us. For contract placements, the terms of your engagement, including who administers your pay, are set out in your placement agreement. In either case, Melben is a recruiter and is not responsible for your wages, benefits, working conditions, or anything else arising from your employment except as expressly stated in your placement agreement.

This site does not create a recruitment agreement. Submitting a request starts a conversation. Any actual placement work is governed by a separate written agreement signed by both parties. That agreement, not this site, controls the fee, the guarantee, and all other terms.

Nothing on this site is an offer or a binding quote.

We do not honor discriminatory hiring requests. If you ask us to screen candidates on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic, we will decline and end the relationship.

You are responsible for your own hiring decisions. We source, screen, and verify credentials against documented proof. We do not make the hire, and we are not liable for the performance, conduct, or fitness of anyone you choose to employ.

Melben runs a text message program for candidates and for employers. Candidates receive messages about roles that match, interview scheduling, and the next steps on a placement. Employers receive messages about candidate submissions, interview scheduling, and updates on an open search.

You join by checking the text-message box on a form on this site, or by telling a recruiter on a call that texts are fine. The box is never checked for you. Consent is not a condition of applying, of being placed, or of requesting workers.

Message frequency varies with what is happening on your search, typically no more than 10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to cancel. Reply HELP for help, or email Melih@melben.io. We only text between 8am and 9pm in your local time.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Do not use this site to submit false or fraudulent information, impersonate anyone, submit an application on someone else's behalf without their permission, scrape or bulk-collect data from the site, post an inquiry you have no genuine intention of pursuing, attempt to breach or disrupt the site, or do anything unlawful. We may refuse service to anyone who does.

We only post roles that are genuinely open. When a role is filled or withdrawn we take it down. Pay ranges, shifts, and requirements come from the employer and can change. We make a real effort to keep listings accurate and we do not guarantee every detail is current at the moment you read it.

The content on this site, including the text, the imagery, the Melben name, and the Melben logo, belongs to us. You may read it and link to it. You may not copy it, republish it, or use our name or logo without our written permission.

The site is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will always be available, error free, or uninterrupted.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Melben is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or from any employment relationship resulting from an introduction we make. Our total liability arising from your use of this site will not exceed one hundred dollars.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
