Melben is recruiting a CNC Machinist for a manufacturer in Louisville, Ohio. This is a direct-hire, full-time position on the employer's payroll, with one opening. The start date is flexible.
The machinist runs CNC lathes to produce precision metal parts to print. The work includes loading material, running programs, checking parts against the drawing with measuring tools, and keeping an eye on tool wear and part quality through the run. The role also covers setup on the lathe and other CNC equipment in the shop, with the exact scope confirmed during the interview.
Pay is $30 to $40 per hour, depending on experience. Candidates who can show hands-on lathe time and a clean inspection record will be considered for the upper end of the range.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes to machine parts to print
- Load material and run approved programs
- Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools
- Monitor tool wear and adjust offsets as needed
- Keep work area clean and follow shop safety rules
Requirements
- Experience operating CNC lathes
- Available to work first shift, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Ability to read blueprints and measure to tight tolerances
