Melben is recruiting a CNC Machinist for a manufacturer in Kalida, Ohio. This is a full-time, direct-hire position on the employer's payroll, with one opening on third shift. The pay is $26 to $30 per hour, depending on experience, and the employer is flexible on the start date.

The machinist will set up and run CNC machines, load and check work against the print, and keep parts inside tolerance from the first piece to the last. The role calls for someone who can set up and edit programs on their own, not just run a job someone else has built. Experience reading blueprints and knowledge of GD&T are useful.

Candidates should have at least five years of hands-on CNC machining experience and be ready to work nights. Mastercam and Fusion 360 experience is a plus. Whether the seat is on mills, lathes, or both will be confirmed with the candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run CNC machines for production parts
  • Load tools, fixtures and workholding, and set offsets
  • Edit and write programs independently at the machine
  • Inspect parts against blueprints and tolerances
  • Keep the machine running clean and report problems to the shift lead

Requirements

  • At least five years of CNC machining experience

  • Able to work third shift
