Melben is recruiting a Tool and Die Maker for a manufacturer in Youngstown, OH. This is a full-time direct hire role on the employer's payroll, with one opening. The start date is flexible.

The work centers on building, repairing and maintaining dies and molds used in production, including plastic extrusion dies. The role calls for a CNC machinist who can take a die from print to finished part and fix it when it goes down on the floor. Pay is $20 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.

Candidates must have dated experience as a tool and die maker, die maker, toolmaker, mold maker or die repair man, and specific experience with plastic extrusion dies. Apply through Melben and a recruiter will follow up with you.

Responsibilities

  • Build new dies and molds from drawings and specifications
  • Repair and rework existing dies and molds
  • Run CNC machines to produce die components
  • Fit, assemble and test finished dies
  • Troubleshoot dies that are down on the production floor

Requirements

  • Dated work as a tool and die maker, die maker, toolmaker, mold maker or die repair man
  • Plastic extrusion die experience
  • Ability to read prints and blueprints
  • Working knowledge of CNC milling and turning
