Melben is hiring a Saw Operator in Cincinnati, OH for a direct-hire position with a manufacturer in the area. This is one opening, on first shift, paying $20 to $23 per hour depending on experience. The start date is flexible.
The saw operator sets up and runs cutting saws that cut steel and other materials to length for the shop. The job means loading stock, checking measurements against the work order, running the saw, and stacking finished cuts for the next step. Clean, accurate cuts keep the line moving, so attention to detail matters.
The employer is open to training. If you are willing to learn the saw operator work and you can make first shift, this is a good place to start. Experience receiving incoming steel or other materials is useful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Set up and run cutting saws to specified lengths
- Load and unload steel and other stock
- Check cut measurements against the work order
- Stack and label finished pieces for the next process
- Keep the work area clean and safe
Requirements
- Willing to learn the saw operator role
- Available to work first shift
- Able to lift and handle steel stock safely
