Melben is recruiting a Reactor Operator for a direct-hire position at a manufacturing facility in Cleveland, OH. This full-time role pays $23 to $25 per hour depending on experience, and the employer is flexible on the start date.
You will be responsible for running and monitoring reactor vessels, regulating process controls, and charging materials according to batch sheets. The work requires close attention to temperature, pressure, and flow rates to keep production running safely and smoothly.
The plant needs someone dependable who is coachable, follows instructions closely, and brings practical math skills to handle batch additions and measurements.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor reactor vessels, pumps, and process equipment
- Calculate raw material charges and weigh out batch additions accurately
- Follow batch sheets, safety rules, and standard operating procedures
- Track operating parameters and record production data in logs
- Inspect equipment and notify supervisors of any process irregularities
Requirements
- Intermediate math skills for calculating measurements and ratios
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Highly coachable with a willingness to learn plant procedures
- Ability to follow detailed standard operating procedures
