Melben is recruiting a Package Handler for a manufacturer in Mentor, OH. This is a full-time direct-hire position on the employer's payroll, with one opening. The role combines production work with machine operation, so the day is spent moving product through the line and keeping the packaging equipment running and stocked.
The work is hands-on. You will load, sort, and package finished goods, check that items meet the packing standard before they leave the line, and keep your station clean and organized. Some of the job involves running and monitoring packaging machines, so attention to detail and comfort around moving equipment matter.
Pay is $20 to $23 per hour depending on experience. The employer is flexible on the start date. The main requirement is a valid driver's license with fewer than 4 points on the record.
Responsibilities
- Load, sort, and package finished product to standard
- Operate and monitor packaging machines on the line
- Inspect product and packaging for defects before shipping
- Keep the work area clean, stocked, and safe
- Follow production counts and labeling requirements
