Melben is hiring a CNC machinist for a direct-hire position at a manufacturing facility in Franklin, Ohio. This full-time opening offers $20.00 to $24.00 per hour depending on experience, and the employer is flexible on the start date.

In this role, you will run mills and lathes to produce machined parts. You will use basic tooling knowledge, load material, monitor operations, and check parts against specifications on the shop floor.

This position is designed specifically for an entry-level machinist looking to put their training to work. Qualified candidates must have completed formal training through an apprenticeship or recognized vocational machining program.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC mills and lathes to machine parts
Select and inspect basic machine tooling
Monitor machining cycles and watch for tool wear
Check finished dimensions using basic measurement tools
Maintain a clean and organized machine station

Requirements

Completion of the Step 2 machining program or an equivalent apprenticeship
Hands-on practical experience running both a mill and a lathe
Foundational knowledge of machine shop cutting tools
Entry-level status looking to build shop experience
U.S. person status to meet ITAR compliance requirements

Certifications

Machining certificate or apprenticeship from Sinclair Community College is a plus
