Melben is recruiting a CNC Machinist for a direct-hire CNC Operator role in Norton, OH. This is one full-time opening on the employer's payroll, and the start date is flexible. The role centers on running CNC lathes and multifunction machines to produce turned and milled parts to print.
The operator loads and unloads material, sets up tooling and offsets, proves out programs, and checks finished parts against drawings using calipers, micrometers and gauges. The work needs someone who can read a print and catch a problem before a run goes bad.
Pay is $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience. Melben will confirm the shift schedule with you before you apply further. Standard direct-hire benefits apply.
Responsibilities
- Set up and run CNC lathes and multifunction machines
- Load programs, set tool offsets and work offsets
- Run first-article inspections and check parts to print
- Monitor machine runs and make adjustments as needed
- Keep the work area clean and the machine maintained
Requirements
- Experience operating a lathe or multifunction machine
- Experience with CNC lathe setup
- Able to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
