Melben is recruiting a CNC Machinist in Bowling Green, Ohio, for a direct-hire full-time position with a manufacturer in the area. This is one opening. The role covers setting up and running CNC lathes and mills, and the candidate will work directly on the employer's payroll. Pay is $20 to $30 per hour, depending on experience. The employer can work with either first or second shift, and is flexible on the start date.
The work is hands-on. The machinist sets up the machine, loads the program, checks the first part, and then runs the job while holding the part to print. Setup is the key skill. We need someone who has done dated, hands-on CNC lathe or mill work and can set up the machine without help. Aerospace or tight-tolerance work is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Set up CNC lathes and mills for each job
- Load programs and check first-off parts
- Measure parts to print tolerance using standard precision tools
- Run production jobs and keep the machine in good order
- Catch and correct tool wear and size drift during the run
Requirements
- Dated, hands-on CNC lathe or mill experience that includes machine setup
- Able to read prints and work to tight tolerances
- Comfortable with precision measurement tools
