Melben is recruiting a CNC Machinist for a manufacturer in Dayton, Ohio. This is a direct-hire position on the employer's payroll, with one opening. The work centers on running and programming Prototrak mills and lathes on first shift, so experience with this control is the core requirement.

The machinist will set up, run and program Prototrak mills and lathes, producing parts to print. Pay is $20 to $30 per hour, depending on experience. The employer is flexible on the start date, so candidates who need a few weeks' notice can still be considered.

If you have programming experience on Prototrak and you know how to take a part from print to finished dimension on a mill or lathe, send your resume to Melben. Tool and die or toolmaking experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run Prototrak mills and lathes
  • Write and edit programs at the machine
  • Machine parts to print and hold tight tolerances
  • Check parts with measuring tools and gauges
  • Keep the work area clean and the machine maintained

Requirements

  • Programming experience on Prototrak
  • Hands-on experience with Prototrak mills and lathes
  • Ability to read blueprints and work to tolerance
