A manufacturer in Dayton, Ohio is hiring a CNC Machinist on first shift. This is a direct-hire position on the employer's payroll, and the pay is $20 to $25 per hour depending on experience. The employer is flexible on the start date, so there is room to work out timing with the right candidate.

The machinist will set up, run, and check parts on ProtoTRAK CNC machines. The work involves reading prints, setting tools and offsets, running first-article inspections, and keeping parts within tolerance from the first piece to the last. The employer asks for at least 5 years of hands-on machining experience and direct experience running ProtoTRAK controls.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run ProtoTRAK CNC machines on first shift
  • Read prints and drawings and verify dimensions
  • Set tools, offsets, and work holding
  • Inspect finished parts against specifications
  • Keep the machine and work area clean and safe

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of CNC machining experience
  • Hands-on experience with ProtoTRAK CNC machines
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work first shift
