A machine shop in Springfield, Ohio is hiring a CNC lathe operator for first shift. The work is small-batch and high-mix, usually 2 to 6 pieces a job, so setups change often.
Programming is not required: an in-house programmer writes the programs and operators make adjustments at the machine. What matters is that you can set up your own work and run independently.
This is a direct-hire, permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Set up and run CNC lathes (Okuma)
- Adjust existing programs at the control
- Run small batches of 2 to 6 parts per job
- Work independently from setup to finished part
Requirements
- 3 or more years of machining experience
- Able to do your own setups
- Programming experience is a plus, not required
- Must pass a background check
Benefits
- $22 to $25 an hour
- Overtime available on weekdays or Saturdays, never forced
- First shift only, no nights
- Direct hire, permanent position
