Melben is recruiting 10 RV Technicians for a direct-hire role at a dealer service location in central Ohio. You will work on the employer's payroll, on first shift, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM with an hour for lunch. The start date is flexible.

The work is hands-on repair of recreational vehicles, generators and RV systems. Typical jobs include 12 volt DC electrical diagnosis and repair, heating and air conditioning service, generator service, and carpentry and cabinetry repair. Camper, trailer and motorhome remodel or collision rebuild work, including awnings, slide outs and tongue jacks, may also come through the shop.

No certification is required to apply. Technicians who hold an RVTI level or a generator certification are welcome and will be paid according to level. The employer pays for RVTI and generator testing and for the training time, and the rate starts at 28 dollars an hour, rising to 55 dollars an hour with experience. After the first month paid hourly, the shop may move to a flat rate pay system.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair 12 volt DC electrical systems
Service and repair RV heating and air conditioning
Repair generators and RV systems
Perform carpentry, cabinetry and remodel work
Complete repair orders accurately and on time

Requirements

Dated hands-on experience repairing RVs, generators or RV systems
Working knowledge of 12 volt or other electrical systems
Experience with heating, air or carpentry work is a plus
Reliable attendance and the ability to work first shift

Certifications

RVTI certification at any level
Generator certification, such as Onan, Cummins, Generac or Kohler
RVIA certification
