Melben is recruiting a welder and fabricator for a manufacturer in Boardman, OH. This is a full-time, direct-hire position on the employer's payroll, with one opening. The start date is flexible.

The work centers on fabricating and welding metal parts and assemblies from blueprints. You will set up, measure and cut stock, tack and weld joints, and check finished pieces against the drawing. Pay starts at $17 per hour and goes up to $24 per hour depending on experience.

The employer needs someone who can read a tape measure and a blueprint accurately and take pride in clean, square work. If you are a steady welder who works from the print, this is a direct role with a manufacturer in the Boardman area.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and fabrication drawings
  • Measure, layout and cut metal stock
  • Weld and fabricate parts and assemblies
  • Check finished work against the print
  • Keep the work area safe and organized

Requirements

  • Ability to read a tape measure and blueprint
  • Experience welding and fabricating metal
  • Attention to detail and accurate measurement
  • Ability to work first shift on a full-time schedule
