Melben is recruiting a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturer in Rancho Cordova, CA. This is a direct-hire position, meaning you go straight onto the employer's payroll from day one. The employer is flexible on the start date.
In this role you will keep production equipment and facility systems running. That means diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, completing planned preventive maintenance, and making repairs that get machinery back online with minimal downtime. The work is hands-on and varied from shift to shift.
Pay runs from $25 to $35 per hour depending on experience. If you have solid all-around maintenance skills and want steady, direct-hire work in the Sacramento area, this is a strong opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment
- Respond to breakdowns and return equipment to service quickly
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals
- Document maintenance work orders and parts usage
- Support facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical panels
Requirements
- 2 or more years of equipment maintenance and electrical systems experience in a manufacturing environment
- Electrical experience with both low voltage (down to 5V) and high voltage (up to 480V) systems
- Experience or certification with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
- Experience with precision mechanical components, including high-precision bearings
- Ability to read construction, electrical, and equipment drawings and schematics
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Certifications
- Knowledge of Cal/OSHA and OSHA safety regulations is a plus
- CNC machine, mill, lathe, and grinding equipment maintenance background is a plus
- Valid driver's license may be required
