Field Welder (Stick)

Pay: $18 to $24 an hour
Shift: Day shift, 6:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

A fabrication and welding shop north west of Houston is looking for a field welder who is confident with stick.

This is field work rather than bench work, so you are welding on site conditions rather than in a booth all day. The role is a contract with the potential to go permanent for the right person.

Responsibilities

Stick welding (SMAW) in the field, to the standard the job in front of you needs
Working a 6:30am start alongside the crew on site
Reading the job and setting yourself up without being walked through it

Requirements

At least 2 years of welding experience
Stick (SMAW) is the process that matters here. Shop MIG or TIG on its own is not the same job
Comfortable working in the field rather than in a shop bay
Reliable transport to site for a 6:30am start
