A prototype shop in the Houston area is hiring a CNC programmer. They do not run production — every job is different, so the programmer stands at the machine with the machinist rather than working off a desk in another room.

Responsibilities

  • Programming 4 axis and 5 axis work on the mill
  • Working closely with the CNC machinists on the floor

Requirements

  • GibbsCam or Mastercam, and knowing it very well rather than having seen it
  • Able to program 4 axis and 5 axis on the mill
  • Able to interact well with CNC machinists
