Melben is recruiting a CNC Machine Operator/Programmer for a direct-hire position at a manufacturer in Rancho Dominguez, CA. This role places you directly on the employer's payroll from day one. The shop runs precision machined components and needs someone who can both operate and program CNC equipment without heavy supervision.

You will be responsible for setting up machines, writing and editing programs, and holding tight tolerances through the full production run. Expect hands-on work at the controls every day, not just pushing buttons. The ability to read technical drawings, select tooling, and make offsets on the fly is essential to keeping parts moving and quality high.

Pay is $30.00 per hour. There is one opening and the employer is ready to move quickly on the right candidate. If you have solid CNC machining experience in a production or job-shop environment and you are comfortable owning a machine from setup to finished part, this is a strong opportunity in Rancho Dominguez.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC milling or turning machines to print specifications
  • Write, edit, and prove out CNC programs at the control or offline
  • Select cutting tools, establish work offsets, and adjust feeds and speeds
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision gauges
  • Identify and correct machining issues to maintain dimensional accuracy
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow shop safety procedures

Requirements

  • Hands-on CNC machining experience in a production or job-shop environment
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T callouts
  • Proficiency programming at the machine control (Fanuc, Mazak, or similar)
  • Experience with precision measuring tools and first-article inspection
  • Ability to work independently and manage a machine from setup through final inspection

Certifications

  • NIMS Machining Level II certification is a plus
  • CAM software experience (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar) is a plus
  • Blueprint reading or GD&T coursework certification is a plus

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Overtime pay available

Direct hire means you go on the employer's payroll from day one. Melben is the recruiter, not the employer, and our fee is paid by the company. Your certifications are verified with documented proof before we submit you, so the interview starts from trust.
