A manufacturer in Houston, Texas is hiring a CNC machine operator to run a machine it recently acquired and installed. This is a permanent seat for someone who can run it day to day, not a temporary fill-in.

Pay runs from $25 to $40 an hour and is set by experience. The top of that range is real and is there for an operator who can set up and run the machine without being walked through it.

This is a direct-hire position on the employer's payroll from day one, not a temp placement. They want someone who can start as soon as they are available.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate the CNC machine on production work
  • Load programs, set offsets and run first parts
  • Read and work to blueprints
  • Monitor the machine and hold part quality through the run
  • Inspect your own work with calipers and mics

Requirements

  • Hands-on CNC machine operating experience
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Comfortable setting up and running jobs
  • Able to work on site in Houston, TX
  • Available to start soon
