Melben is placing one Brake Operator II at a manufacturing facility in San Jose, CA. This is a direct-hire position, meaning you go straight onto the employer's payroll from day one. The role sits in a fabrication environment where sheet metal work drives production, and the shop needs someone who can run a press brake accurately and keep pace with production demands.
The day-to-day work centers on setting up and operating a press brake to form and shape sheet metal parts to print. You will read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings, select the correct tooling, and dial in the angles to hit tight tolerances. Light welding and fabrication tasks are part of the role as well, so comfort in both areas matters.
Pay runs from $28 to $36 per hour depending on your experience. San Jose has a deep manufacturing base, and this shop offers steady, long-term work for someone who takes pride in accurate, repeatable parts. If you have solid brake operating time and some welding background, Melben wants to hear from you.
